The Importance of Having Your Tribe ❤️

Having a tribe of your own has major benefits! Read more in our article about finding or creating a tribe of your own.

I’m so grateful to have such an amazing group of women that I call my friends & for the connection we have with each other through our group, S’moo Babes. I don’t think I just speak for myself when I say that this group has not only brought me so much happiness, but also emotional resilience & purpose.

I may have created S’moo Babes, but that definitely doesn’t remove me from being human. As much as I’d like to think I have it all figured out, I still have my days of frustration, loneliness, and just feeling like I need additional support. And, there is NOTHING wrong with that! That’s where a tribe comes in.

Whether your tribe be your immediate family, your extended friends, or a group like S’moo Babes… embrace it! Here are just a few reasons why:

  1. Purpose – Having a common sense of purpose around our goals is huge. You are the product of the people you spend the most time around, so being aligned on your purpose and goals is never a bad thing.
  2. Support: Let’s face it, having people who understand how you feel has a way of resonating deeper. Having a tribe means having a common goal or purpose, which means in the face of adversity, you have people you can lean on for support and love that is valuable and meaningful.
  3. Battling Loneliness: Especially during this last year, it’s been hard to keep up with our social lives. Joining a group of people who share a common interest or purpose can jump start efforts to enhance our social connections. I’ve loved having S’moo Babes to connect with daily, and meeting friends all over the world.

Whether or not, you have a tribe of your own, or you are a part of S’moo Babes. I encourage you to embrace it! It feels so good to be a part of a community with a common goal and passion. Joining new communities may require effort and initiative but your quality of life and your emotional well-being will thank you! I feel so fortunate to have found S’moo Babes, and it has been truly life changing. I’ve struggled with PCOS alone since I was 14 years old, and it’s been amazing to have such incredible women to connect with, share experiences with, grow with & celebrate with! I feel like one lucky girl and only hope for anyone reading this, that you get to experience such an amazing tribe in your future.

Wishing you all the best!
